Our time in Louisiana, while too short in retrospect, was as memorable as we’d hope it would be, and then some. We visited cities in the southern part of the state — Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans — en route to Mississippi. This taste of Louisiana, however, only encourages us to come back again soon.
We loved the food (covered in our previous post), were enchanted by passing scenery of Spanish moss-draped trees and marveled at the romantic charm of its cities. Below is a compilation of some shots taken on our sojourn through the Pelican state.
I’d like to add that in New Orleans, we utilized Free Tours by Foot for a local, informed perspective. Check out their Garden District and Ghost tour!

Love love the Oak Valley!

Those free walking tours are the best! We used them for Lafayette Cemetery, the Garden District and the French Quarter haunted tour. A city so full of rich history and great food. Your photos look like you truly enjoyed your visit (hope Baby Al didn’t somehow make his way into the RV with you!) 🙂

I did enjoy Louisiana and New Orleans quite a bit! Agree with you 100%, a vibrant place to visit. And yes, was tempted to bring a baby Al in the rv with me but he’d likely outgrow us way too fast. 😜
How are you doing Lissa? Miss you!
